Privacy Policy

We collect: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, company name, certification records, course progress, exam scores, payment references (not card numbers), and login activity. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Your information is used to: manage your account, verify identity and issue credentials, process payments through Stripe, send renewal reminders and exam notifications, fulfill paper certificate orders, maintain the public verification database (limited data only), and comply with legal obligations.

Your technician display name, certification level, certification status, and active/expired/revoked status are displayed publicly in the NCFET credential verification system. Your home address, phone number, email, and exam scores are never shown publicly without your explicit consent.

Passwords are hashed using industry-standard methods. Sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Payment processing is handled by Stripe — we do not store card numbers. Admin actions are logged for audit purposes.

Certification records are retained indefinitely for credential verification purposes. Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request account deletion, but credential issuance history may be retained for legal and audit purposes even after account deletion.

We use session cookies for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Disabling cookies will prevent you from logging into the portal.

We use Stripe for payment processing and Stripe Identity for identity verification. When you start identity verification, Stripe may collect and process your government-issued identity document and selfie directly through Stripe's hosted verification flow. NCFET receives the verification result and a Stripe verification-session reference, but does not receive or store the document or selfie images. Stripe's privacy policy and applicable service terms govern Stripe's processing of that data.

IONOS provides hosting, infrastructure, and email services for NCFET and may process ordinary account information, payment references, support messages, and technical logs as needed to operate and secure the website. IONOS does not receive the government ID or selfie images submitted through Stripe Identity. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

You may update your account information in your profile. You may request a copy of your personal data. You may request deletion of your account (subject to credential record retention requirements). Contact support@ncfet.com with privacy requests.
